Frequently Asked Questions

Are we approved for a second rink?

Yes! Rogers Youth Hockey Association and the City of Rogers have approved the expansion of TruStone Center with the addition of a second sheet of ice, the HealthPartners/TRIA Ice Rink.

This project has been years in the making. With Rogers continuing to grow and youth hockey participation increasing, the additional rink will help meet the demand for ice time while keeping more Rogers teams skating at home.

How did this happen?

This project became possible through a partnership between Rogers Youth Hockey Association and the City of Rogers. By coordinating the rink expansion with the city’s new turf facility project, the community was able to significantly reduce construction costs.

In addition, Rogers families, local businesses, sponsors, and community supporters contributed through fundraising efforts over the past several years to help make the project a reality.

Can I still buy a Legacy Tile?

Yes! Legacy tiles are still available.

Tiles purchased through the Legacy Tile program will be permanently displayed on the donor wall inside the new rink. Families can dedicate a tile to their player, honor a loved one, or celebrate their connection to Rogers hockey. Businesses can also purchase tiles to show their support for youth hockey in the community.

There are currently two tile options available:

  • 4×8 Tile — $1,000
  • 8×8 Tile — $3,000 (includes the option to display a business logo)

Both options allow you to personalize the tile with names, messages, or a short quote.

Even though the rink project has been approved, donations like legacy tiles help reduce the amount the association must borrow and ensure we are prepared for unexpected construction costs.

Buying a tile is a lasting way to leave your mark on the future of Rogers youth hockey.

Do we still need donations if the rink is approved?

Even though the project is approved, fundraising continues to play an important role. Additional donations help reduce the amount the association needs to borrow and protect the project from unexpected construction costs.

The more we raise now, the less RYHA will need to repay over time—helping keep hockey affordable for Rogers families in the future.

Can I still donate?

Yes! Donations are still welcome and appreciated.

Community support continues to make a difference, and donors can still participate in recognition opportunities such as the commemorative tile wall and business sponsorships. Every contribution helps strengthen the project and supports youth hockey in Rogers for years to come.

Can my business still become a sponsor?

Absolutely. We are still accepting business sponsorships and partnerships. Businesses have opportunities for recognition within the facility, on donor walls, and through various sponsorship placements.

Local business support has been a key part of making this project possible.

Will Rogers teams still have to travel for ice time?

The additional sheet of ice will significantly reduce the need for Rogers teams to practice and play at outside rinks. More teams will be able to skate in Rogers during prime hours, which means less time driving and more time at home for families.

Are we getting a dryland facility?

Yes. The expansion plans include a dedicated hockey dryland training space located near the new rink. RYHA will also have access to the city’s turf facility for additional training opportunities.
